Pam Vale is an artist to her core.
As far back as she can remember, Pam has been an observer. Having a parent that was a renowned entertainer made it possible from the beginning for her to freely accept that she could make a living doing what she loved. There was never any doubt for Pam or anyone who knew her that she would grow up to be a professional artist in some form.
Her father, singer Jerry Vale, set an ideal example of how to hone your craft and share your artistic gifts, generously with the world. The experience of growing up in the entertainment industry and being constantly surrounded by talented performers, helped shape her creative future.
With over 30 years of experience as a decorative artist, a creative instructor, a background in retail and wholesale markets and a degree in Fashion Design, from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California, Pam brings a valuable and varied skill set to surface design, art licensing and illustration.
Influenced by all of the places she has lived, Pam’s artwork and creative skills are an eclectic mix.
She likes to be challenged and works in a variety of styles and genres. Her work is hand-drawn and then edited with layers in Photoshop. She is currently creating art collections for licensing and is a top rated custom tattoo designer on an international website.
Pam has always chosen to view her art and the world with an insatiable, childlike curiosity, quite possibly the side effect of attending a Montessori school as a child. She has a contagious, positive outlook and a genuine enthusiasm for what she does.
Pam believes in building strong, collaborative working relationships, works well with tight deadlines, creates art for the end product and loves growing a collection.
I've often felt different, seeing the world with a heightened sense of detail, navigating an overwhelming obsession with patterns, textiles and colors and finding beauty in the most obscure places.
For me, being an artist was not a choice; it is part of my fiber. It's what I eat, drink and breathe, in some form or another, every moment of every glorious day.
Along with my drive to discover beauty and create, is an equally strong need to share and inspire.
The internet shatters physical boundaries, making it possible for me to connect and collaborate with clients all over the world. Something I am truly grateful for.
Being surrounded by the love of my husband and the support of our three children, I have a safe, nurturing haven to express myself. While, on the other hand, sharing my studio daily with two cats and our miniature American Eskimo, I am provided with unlimited entertainment!
Have you ever tried to draw with a kitten on your desk? I dare you to be in a bad mood in that situation.
